The Hazel Outdoor Discovery Center is proud to be the only site on Delmarva for "National Get Outdoors Day", a national event designed to encourage healthy, active outdoor fun. Participating partners will offer hands-on opportunities for Delmarva kids to experience traditional and non-traditional types of outdoor activities. Kids can learn to safely shoot a gun or bow, cast a fishing rod, paddle a kayak, identify wild animals, and live a healthy lifestyle. Free lunch will be provided to all, and free HODC t-shirts will be given to the first 400 kids.

With competition from television, video games, and the internet, we need places like the Hazel Outdoor Discovery Center to turn kids on to nature. The HODC is your kids' cure for nature deficit disorder.
